History

The Courtyard Montessori Preschool that is situated at 99a Somerfield Street has been established since 1990. The preschool is situated on a beautiful established 1500 metre site on the southern side of Christchurch. The Courtyard Montessori Preschool was set up by a group of parents and educationalists determined to bring the choice of Montessori education to Christchurch families.

Vision Statement

We believe through sustained integrity and professional collaboration between Governance, Management and Staff, the Courtyard Montessori Preschool will uphold a true delivery of the Montessori Philosophy underpinned by Te Wháriki,  our Early Childhood Curriculum. Our vision is to work with families to ensure tamariki gain greater independence, resilience and a love of learning, thereby achieving their full learning potential.

Our goal is to continuously promote Montessori Education to the wider community as a preferred educational philosophy for both present and future families.

In this way the Courtyard Montessori Preschool will continue to grow and evolve.
